Turkse kunst

In 1997 Les Arts Turcs was founded by a collection of painters, photographers, artists, singers, journalists, professional guides and entrepreneurs. The aim of Les Arts Turcs is to meet people here internationally and explore little traveled routes of communication between cultures that rarely and often communicate, to bridge artistic and cultural gaps that have formed over centuries in an attempt to take responsibilty for international humanistic heritage.

Art à la Turka betekent letterlijk 'kunst op zijn turks'. Maar eigenlijk is het mijn passie voor mystieke kunst. Sinds een jaar verzamel ik onder deze naam kunstwerken uit Turkije.

De basis voor de collectie van Byzance Ceramics is de zeer fijne, compacte witte rivierklei uit midden Turkije. Omdat deze witte klei fijner van structuur is dan de rode klei, kan dit natuurproduct verwerkt worden tot deze prachtige borden en schalen die aanvoelen als porselein.
